This course will discuss how to find legislation and commentary efficiently.  Find current, historical and future legislation and identify the different commentary formats available. More course dates.

In this session learn how to: 

  • Locate Acts, Secondary Legislation (also known as Regulations) and Bills.
  • Browse and search a commentary publication
  • Quickly access an Act, or a section of an Act using the Global Search Bar
    • Locate historic and future legislation in the History Tab.
    • Identify the related Annotated and Discursive Commentary, Book Chapters and Case Law.
  • Conduct a topic-based search using plain language and/or terms and connectors.
    • Refine and filter search results.
    • Annotate, print, download, email and save content to a folder in Westlaw New Zealand.
    • Create a search alert to be notified by email of new search results.
