We are thrilled to welcome Barbara Lenihan who joined the Northern Region team recently.

Barbara’s area includes Central and Southern Auckland and she says she’s delighted by the variety and mix of firms forming her customer base.

Prior to joining Thomson Reuters Barbara gained extensive legal service experience through her work as a senior law librarian for several of our larger law firms. Her past, she says has equipped her well to thoroughly understand and meet the needs of her clients. She knows the challenges they face through having worked alongside them.

Asked why she made the switch from library manager to account manager, Barbara commented that it wasn’t something she had considered until she was asked. Once the possibility was raised however, she says she accepted the position with alacrity. She sees her new role as an opportunity to assist people to get the most out of their Thomson Reuters products - a process drawing directly on her librarian background.  To maximise that, Barbara says she is committed to establishing and maintaining partnerships with her clients. She says she knows that most are currently financially thinking twice before spending which makes it critical that they receive sound advice followed by training to extract as much as they can from the investments they make.

When Barbara is off duty you’ll find her cooking up a feast in her kitchen for informal gatherings of family and friends. Her perfect wind-down for a busy day? A single malt whiskey.
