A new chapter of extrajudicial writing has been added to Employment Law (online ed, Thomson Reuters) on Westlaw New Zealand.

Called “Judicial Papers and Speeches”, this chapter contains 42 pieces written by past and present judges of the Employment Court of New Zealand between 2008 and 2024. (More items will be added as they become available.)

Topics covered include access to justice, collective bargaining, effective advocacy/representation, good faith, jurisdictional issues, mediation, practice and procedure, technological and societal change, and work vs private life, to name just a few.

Sometimes humorous, often thought-provoking and informative throughout, this material offers a wealth of extrajudicial insights into employment law and practice in New Zealand.
