We are pleased to welcome new author Mike Wakefield to the Local Government team. Mike is a partner in Simpson Grierson’s planning and environment group, specialising in environmental and local government law. He frequently appears before local authorities and the Environment Court in relation to resource consent, plan change and designation matters, and has appeared before the Environment Court and High Court in relation to declaration, appeal and judicial review proceedings. Mike has broad experience in strategic growth planning, environmental enforcement, due diligence, local authority decision-making, development contributions, and public works issues.
