Unsuccessful application by D for leave to appeal against an interlocutory decision that had refused to restrain publication by DNZL of a programme that accused him of historical sexual abuse. The alleged victims had chosen to make their claims public. Police had confirmed that no charges were to be laid against D.

Unsuccessful application by M for leave to appeal against imposition of an extended supervision order (ESO) for a 10 year term with 12 months of intensive monitoring. The ESO was imposed in anticipation of M's release from a 20 year imprisonment sentence for (a) sexual offending against five girls and (b) manslaughter of his partner.
