Australasian Law Teachers Association (ALTA) Conference 2010
Thomson Reuters recently attended the Australasian Law Teachers Association Conference 2010 held at the University of Auckland from the 4th to the 7th July. The Australasian Law Teachers Association (ALTA) is a professional body which represents the interests of law teachers in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Islands.
For us it was a great opportunity to catch up with some of our academic authors: John Farrar, Susan Watson, Warren Brookbanks, John Burrows, Rosemary Tobin, Stephen Penk, Matt Berkahn, David Grinlinton, Trevor Daya-Winterbottom, Joanna Manning, Mark Keating, Audrey Sharp, Chris Nicoll, Ken Palmer, Tony Smith, and Elisabeth Toomey to name a few!
It also gave academics from New Zealand and Australia the chance to look through some of our more recently published books such as Privacy Law in New Zealand and Health Care and the Law 4th edition.
Despite the torrential rain in Auckland the three day conference was a great success – and we’re looking forward to the more balmy temperatures in Brisbane next year!
