Shortlisting confirms standing
This latest distinction comes as no real surprise to either Thomson Reuters or to Professor Elliffe's peers within the industry.
Geof Nightingale, Tax Partner and Managing Partner of Financial Advisory Services, PwC New Zealand, said:
"It's great to see Professor Craig Elliffe's work on international tax law recognised by the short listing of his article for the Franz Vanistendael 2017 Award for International Tax Law. Craig is New Zealand's most prominent researcher on international tax law. He wrote the leading text on international and cross-border taxation for New Zealand that was published in 2015 and is in everyday use in our practice. He is a highly regarded speaker and expert commentator in the media on international tax matters. Craig matches rigorous research with his deep experience from many years in legal and accounting practice. This brings insights of real practical value to the tax profession in New Zealand. Good luck with the award Craig!"
