Unit Titles Act 2010: Mixed Messages
Recent remarks by John Greenwood* indicate misunderstandings of the Act and Regulations since it came into force in June.
His comments (below) came in a review of Brookers Unit Titles Handbook 2011 originally published by Law Talk.
“Certainly over the recent weeks since the Act and Regulations have come into force, while there are interpretation challenges, there has been an uncomfortable number of article releases and advice given to real estate agents and chairs of bodies corporate which have wrong information and/or direction.”
Of the book itself he says:
“The Brookers Handbook will help practitioners, legal executives and property managers better understand the new regime, which imposes new legal structures that need to be understood and applied.”
