If you’re looking for a product that you can’t immediately see on the Westlaw NZ home page, here’s a quick way to find it:

Step 1: From the Westlaw NZ homepage type the name of the product into the Basic Search box eg Intellectual Property

Step 2: Select the product you want from the drop-down list eg Intellectual Property Law in New Zealand

Sometimes the list will prompt you to choose from different content types – eg a case title, legislation title, precedent or a topic.

You don’t need to know the entire name of the product – one word is sufficient, and it doesn’t have to be the first word.

Step 3: Click the product you want to select to display a search template to begin searching.

This is a handy search for databases that you’d usually have to browse to – some examples are:
* Resource Management Tracker
* Sentencing Tracker
* Legal Terms Locator
* OSH Tracker
* Alcohol Cases
* Insurance – A to Z of New Zealand Law
* Rural Property Precedents
