After you have downloaded a document from Westlaw NZ into Word, you may see gridlines as per the example below.  These can be distracting, and while you cannot totally remove them from your Microsoft Word document, you can remove them from view.

Step 1:     On your Microsoft Word toolbar, look for the symbol circled below and click it:

Step 2:     In the menu that appears, you have the option to turn off the gridlines (see image below).  Just click on "View Gridlines" to turn them off.
