    • How to structure a T&C search – query, identify keywords, locate T&Cs & build a search string.
    • Using an Advanced Search template to run a targeted search.
    • Managing results including - Refining and filtering search results, downloading and saving to Folders.
  • Creating a Search alert to be notified of future documents related to your search.

Westlaw New Zealand - Cases Deep Dive

Body

In this session learn how to:

  • Search for a case by citation or title/party name.
  • Search for cases using plain language and the Cases advanced template.
  • Locate cases that cite a section of legislation.
  • Locate the litigation history and citing reference information (KeyCite citator).
  • Create an Alert to be notified when a case status changes.
  • Locate cases on a specific point of law using the Key Numbers.
  • Manage search results including refining, sorting and annotating.
  • Set up an alert to be notified when new cases are added to Westlaw.
